This is Big Mama, otherwise known as BCY0324. Humpback Whales were the most widely-hunted species in our area and hadn’t been seen for 100 years until the nineties. 

Beautiful San Juan Island is famous for exquisite whale and wildlife watching, for boating, kayaking and fishing, and just about anything having to do with the Salish Sea.
